The Tamron 17-70mm f/2.8 Di III-A VC RXD lens for Sony E-mount is the first zoom lens for APS-C format cameras from Tamron. With a constant, fast aperture throughout the zoom range and Vibration Compensation, the lens performs well in low lighting conditions, allowing users to hand hold whatever subject they are capturing. An equivalent focal width of 25.5-105mm provides versatile shooting across multiple subjects from landscapes to portraits and everything in between.
The lens features a moisture resistant construction, Fluorine Coating and a common 67mm filter thread, the same as the Tamron series of lenses for full-frame Sony mirrorless cameras. The 17-70mm is fully compatible with advanced Sony AF functionality, including Fast Hybrid AF and Eye AF.

Lens sharpness is impressive thanks to 16 elements arranged in 12 groups. Special optics include two GM (Glass Moulded Aspherical) lens elements and one hybrid aspherical lens element. Tamron has arranged these to maintain high-resolution performance from edge to edge as required by Sony sensors.

This Model B070 is the first f/2.8 fast zoom lens in the world for APS-C mirrorless cameras to achieve a 4.1x zoom ratio.
The design delivers excellent resolution from edge-to-edge at 70mm which is a commonly used telephoto zoom focal length.
Additional sophisticated algorithms have been optimised for this model and with the dedicated, independently operating MPU features combine to compensate for vibration most admirably. VC works whether the lens is used with cameras with or without in-body image stabilisation.
When used with Sony's APS-C mirrorless cameras the zoom lens is nicely balanced and provides a comfortable user experience suited to extended shooting periods.
Lens mount seals and around other critical locations deter moisture and raindrops for a moisture-resistant construction.
The AF drive incorporates a sensor that accurately detects the position of the lens while the RXD motor unit delivers optimised AF control. This achieves fast and accurate AF operation and allows users to maintain tack sharp focus on continuously moving subjects Thanks to the exceedingly quiet AF the lens can be used discreetly in situations which require low noise levels, and for video recording.

We've done everything possible to try and reduce the risk of this happening. If you have placed a multiple order and for whatever reason part of the order isn't available, we follow a simple process to keep you informed:
- Any available item will be sent Next Day and you'll receive your dispatch email for this.
- Should an item become unavailable for Next Day, we'll email you to advise of this and have any remaining item that's available sent by standard delivery. You'll be emailed as soon as this is shipped and we'll also refund your postage costs.
- Should the item no longer be available to ship, we'll send you an email to advise what we have been able to send and what we haven't. You won't be charged for any item that we haven't shipped and we'll also refund your postage.
We've tried to make as much stock as possible available for Next Day delivery. The exceptions for this would be:

Your order will be delivered by Royal Mail, Yodel, and DPD depending on the order value and your delivery location.
When we dispatch your order, we will send a dispatch confirmation email to let you know your orders are on their way. If you have not received this email after 4 working days you can Email or WhatsApp us and we'll be happy to help resolve this for you.
You can choose to get your orders delivered to an address other than your billing address. Just enter this address during the checkout process. We are unable to change the address once the order has been placed.
All orders being delivered within the UK require a signature upon delivery. Please ensure you enter the delivery address where someone will be present to sign for the delivery.
Orders shipped to United Kingdom will not charged by any duties. Orders shipped to certain countries will have Duty and Customs charges added to them at the point of entry to the delivery country.
