The RF 800mm f/5.6 L IS USM is designed with a 9-blade circular aperture which renders buttery smooth bokeh and out of focus areas, and is also fully compatible with the RF 1.4x and RF 2x extender for even greater reach.

With Fluorite, Super UD and UD elements, the RF 800mm F5.6L IS USM lens is capable of rendering high image resolution with excellent correction of chromatic aberration. A class leading 2.6m minimum focusing distance provides versatility, allowing subjects to be tracked over an even greater range.

Harness the power of the EOS R system

With their super telephoto capabilities and light weight, the super telephoto prime is the perfect companion for the EOS R3 for sports photography. Working in tandem with the camera’s AF system, the RF 800mm F5.6L keeps track of subjects at up to 30fps. With a Ring USM Drive, Dual Power Drive, high-speed CPU and optimised AF algorithm, the lens provides fast, yet quiet autofocusing, ideal for capturing fast moving wildlife and video. The customisable AF stop buttons on the lens also give photographers enhanced control when focusing on subjects. As part of the RF lens range, photographers receive the added benefit of being able to use the same accessories across the range, including filters and hoods, for enhanced flexibility.

The RF 800mm F5.6L IS USM is built to get results combining a fast f/5.6 aperture with 4.5-stop Image Stabiliser. Fluorite, UD and Super UD lens elements with advanced coatings, have allowed Canon to design a lens which sets new standards in optical excellence.

A highly favoured L-series design puts the priority on usability, with a lightweight magnesium alloy casing with heat insulating paint which protects optics while dust and moisture is repelled by Fluorine on the outer elements.

Built for EOS R

The RF 800mm F5.6L IS USM sits at the top of the Canon lens range together with the Canon RF 1200mm f/8 L IS USM Lens released at the same time. An aperture mechanism with 1/8th stop increments and a minimum focus distance of just 2.6m bring superior flexibility, while the IS system works with in-body IS for even better stability.

Take control

The RF 800mm F5.6L has a host of custom options along with two focus pre-sets and a customisable AF stop button. It is also fully compatible with RF extenders and focus direction can even be reversed to match your workflow.

Should an item become unavailable for Next Day, we'll email you to advise of this and have any remaining item that's available sent by standard delivery. You'll be emailed as soon as this is shipped and we'll also refund your postage costs.
Should the item no longer be available to ship, we'll send you an email to advise what we have been able to send and what we haven't. You won't be charged for any item that we haven't shipped and we'll also refund your postage.
