Tamron is known for creating unique lenses for Sony E mount and the A068 model follows this trend, with a zoom range capable of capturing stunning landscape photos, through to architecture and portraits, as well as everyday snapshots.
It boasts a close minimum focus distance with high magnification, enabling you to capture large details and engaging compositions right across its impressive zoom reach. What’s more, the constant f/4 aperture throughout the whole range makes the Tamron 17-50mm f/4 Di III VXD Lens ideal not just for stills, but also for video shooting.
Despite an impressive zoom range, the lens weighs just 460g and measures 114.4mm long, maintaining this length and centre of balance while zooming thanks to the internal zoom mechanism. This is ideal for capturing movies whilst using a gimbal stabiliser as the weight won’t shift and require rebalancing.
For durability in open air environments the portable 17-50mm f/4 lens includes a moisture resistant construction and Fluorine Coatings on the front and rear lens surfaces. This ensures outdoor photographers can embrace the weather and capture decisive shots, even during inclement conditions.

The lens construction consists of 15 elements in 13 groups, including three LD (Low Dispersion), one GM (Glass Moulded Aspherical) and two Hybrid Aspherical lens elements. This designs helps to effectively suppress chromatic and other aberrations, while resolving power remains high across the entire frame.
Results across the frame are clear and sharp, and you can achieve smooth out of focus areas within the image thanks to the f/4 aperture and circular 9-bladed diaphragm.

The AF drive utilises Tamron’s proprietary VXD linear motor focus mechanism (Voice-coil eXtreme-torque Drive), combining high speed with precision, allowing you to achieve fast and accurate focus.

When shooting at the wide end of the zoom range you can capture images as close as 0.19m, which increases to just 0.3m at the tele end. What’s more, the maximum magnification ratio is 1:46 at the wide end, expanding the possibilities for expression with just a single lens.
Tamron Lens Utility software compatibility
The in-house developed Tamron Lens Utility lets users change lens settings, assign camera body functions and update firmware when required. Users can also customise functions for various stills photography and videography styles with the Lens Utility, for a more personalised shooting experience.

- Any available item will be sent Next Day and you'll receive your dispatch email for this.
- Should an item become unavailable for Next Day, we'll email you to advise of this and have any remaining item that's available sent by standard delivery. You'll be emailed as soon as this is shipped and we'll also refund your postage costs.
- Should the item no longer be available to ship, we'll send you an email to advise what we have been able to send and what we haven't. You won't be charged for any item that we haven't shipped and we'll also refund your postage.
We've tried to make as much stock as possible available for Next Day delivery. The exceptions for this would be:

Your order will be delivered by Royal Mail, Yodel, and DPD depending on the order value and your delivery location.
When we dispatch your order, we will send a dispatch confirmation email to let you know your orders are on their way. If you have not received this email after 4 working days you can Email or WhatsApp us and we'll be happy to help resolve this for you.
You can choose to get your orders delivered to an address other than your billing address. Just enter this address during the checkout process. We are unable to change the address once the order has been placed.
All orders being delivered within the UK require a signature upon delivery. Please ensure you enter the delivery address where someone will be present to sign for the delivery.
Orders shipped to United Kingdom will not charged by any duties. Orders shipped to certain countries will have Duty and Customs charges added to them at the point of entry to the delivery country. For returns that are not made as instructed, parcels will not be accepted and will be returned to the customers. Customers will be responsible for the postage for delivering the parcel back to them.

- For used, installed or activated products returned due to change of mind, up to 30% of the product value may be deducted from the refund as diminished product value.
- Due to hygiene concerns, an extra 10% of the item's value will be deducted from the refund for returns of unsealed personal items such as earphones and headphones.
